Its partners, J. Michael ColemanDamian C. TaylorDale KlausReuben Doupé, Sonia M. Diaz, Christyna M. Torrez and Sarah M. Oquendo are experienced attorneys who provide comprehensive, expert legal guidance to both businesses and individuals. They represent their clients in complex family law and divorce matters, as well as litigation, resolution and avoidance of a wide variety of disputes, including complex civil, business, construction, employment, and probate matters.  

The firm and its attorneys have a proud tradition of community and professional service in and around the Naples, Florida area.  All members of the firm have held numerous leadership positions in non-profit organizations and have devoted countless hours of volunteer services. Partners Coleman, Taylor and Diaz have individually served as President of the Collier County Bar Association. Each of them is a member of the Collier County Bar Association (CCBA) and Florida Bar. Several partners have received recognition by Florida Trend Legal Elite and Florida Super Lawyers, and have been rated AV-Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell®, the highest possible peer review rating in both legal ability and ethical standards. About Our Law Firm

J. Michael Coleman, a Florida Bar Board Certified Business Litigation Attorney, arrived in Naples in 1986. William J. Hazzard, a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator and Qualified Arbitrator, arrived in Naples in 1994. In 1998, the two began practicing law together and focused their practices on Naples business litigation as well as probate and trust litigation. In 2001, Damian C. Taylor joined Coleman & Hazzard. Damian came to Naples from Pensacola, Florida where he practiced labor and employment law. Coleman, Hazzard & Taylor, P.A. was then formed in January, 2005 with a focus on serving Naples, Florida and surrounding communities.

Sonia M. Diaz, returned home to Naples, Florida to join the firm as an associate after graduating from law school in 2002. Sonia became a partner with the firm in 2013 and focuses her practice on civil and business litigation.

Christyna M. Torrez, joined the firm as an associate after graduating from law school in 2007. Christyna became a partner with the firm in 2017 and focuses her practice on civil and business litigation services.

Sarah Martin Oquendo, joined the firm as an associate with the family law merger. Sarah became a partner with the firm in 2024, focusing on children’s issues and practices in family law.

Coleman, Hazzard, Taylor and Diaz, PA merged with the Naples marital and family law firm, Klaus Doupé, PA in January 2018. Partners, Dale Klaus, a Martindale-Hubble AV Preeminent rated family law attorney, Reuben Doupé, a Board Certified Family and Marital Law Attorney, and Associate Sarah Martin Oquendo joined the firm, which became Coleman, Hazzard, Taylor, Klaus, Doupé & Diaz, PA. At the time of the merger, William Hazzard became Of Counsel to the firm. Since the merger, Amanda Globetti was hired as an Associate in the Litigation practice.

In 2023, the firm changed its name to Coleman, Taylor, Klaus, Doupé, Diaz & Torrez, PA.

Dale W. Klaus

Damian C. Taylor

Reuben A. Doupé

Reuben focuses his practice on all Naples marital law, divorce law and family law matters.

Sonia M. Diaz

Much of this practice is devoted to helping employers avoid litigation through proactive measures like: implementation of employee handbooks, employment contracts, and independent contractor agreements; audits of exempt and non-exempt employee classifications and payroll practices under federal wage and hour law; Form I-9 audits; investigations of alleged misconduct in the workplace; management training; and consultation with managers regarding hiring, discipline, and termination practices, and compliance with the myriad of laws and regulations affecting the workplace.
