Kelsey L. Hazzard
Kelsey Hazzard was born in Delray Beach, Florida on July 15, 1988 and grew up in Naples, Florida. She graduated from Gulf Coast High School in 2006, obtained her B.A. magna cum laude from the University of Miami in 2009, and graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law with her J.D. in 2012.
While in law school, Kelsey was enrolled in the First Amendment Clinic, where she and two other students successfully represented a journalist in a lawsuit to obtain documents pertaining to AIG's role in the 2008 financial crisis. Kelsey was admitted to the Florida Bar in October of 2012 and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Immediately following law school, she devoted a year to public service as the 2012-2013 Legal Fellow at Americans United for Life in Washington, D.C.
Kelsey joined Coleman, Hazzard, Taylor & Diaz in June of 2013 and practices in all areas of commercial litigation. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Michael R. N. McDonnell American Inn of Court. She is an active member of the Young Lawyers Division of the Collier County Bar Association, the Collier County Women’s Bar Association, and the Naples Junior Woman’s Club.
